By using Claruno (the "app", "we", "us"), you agree to these terms. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you're under 13, a parent, guardian, or school should create and manage the account on your behalf. If you're under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms on your behalf and supervise your use of the app.
Claruno reads a photo of handwritten math work using AI and gives feedback: whether it looks correct, where a mistake is, an explanation, and hints. It's a study aid, not a certified tutor or a replacement for a teacher.
The AI can be wrong. We work to make it accurate — including having it independently re-solve every problem before judging your work — but it can still misread handwriting, miss a mistake, or flag something that's actually correct. Don't treat a Claruno check as the final word on graded or high-stakes work; check with a teacher when it matters.
Use Claruno for its intended purpose: checking your own (or, for a teacher/parent account, a student's own) handwritten math work. Don't:
You (or your parent/guardian) keep ownership of the photos and work you upload. By using Claruno you give us permission to process that content — including sending it to our AI provider — solely to provide the check, hint, and history features described in the app and our Privacy Policy.
The Claruno name, mark, and the app itself belong to us. Nothing here gives you rights to reuse them outside of using the app as intended.
Claruno is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its AI feedback will always be accurate — see "What Claruno is — and isn't" above.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Claruno and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to Claruno is limited to whatever you paid us, if anything, in the 6 months before the claim arose.
If we change these terms meaningfully, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use Claruno after a change means you accept the update.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
